WHAT WE BELIEVE

About the Bible

We stand on the ancient truth of Scripture.  The Bible is our supreme and final authority for faith, life, and service.

About Jesus

We believe that Jesus is God the Son and took on Himself a human body when He was born of Mary.

About a Life of Faith

Coming to faith is the process of;

1. Realizing and confessing that God does not have first place in our life and asking Him to forgive our sins and failures.

2. Believing that Jesus Christ is God’s Son; that He died to pay for our sins; and that He rose again and is alive today.

3. That we are forgiven by God by accepting God’s free gift of salvation without trying to earn it.  Our relationship to God is not restored by anything we do, but on the basis of what Jesus has already done for us.

4. That the result of trusting Jesus are our life’s leader is eternal life with God.

About Spiritual Influence

We believe that we have a responsibility to share all that we are and have received from God with those who haven’t because they matter to God and ought to matter to us.

About the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent into the world by the Father and the Son to apply to mankind the Saving work of Christ.  He is the source of assurance, strength, wisdom, and uniquely endows each believer With gifts for ministry.  We believe Christians are called to serve God the Father in the power of the Holy Spirit.

About Eternity

We believe that everyone is an eternal being and that there is a heaven to gain and a hell to avoid.

About the Church

We believe that there is one true universal Church comprised of all those who acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.  We do not believe that God has a favorite Christian denomination or regards any group of true Christians as more special than another.   We believe the Church has a responsibility not just to have Church services but to be the church in society.

About Love

We believe that loving God and loving the people in our lives is the most important thing we do in life.  Without love Christians are bankrupt.  Without love we are nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.

LHPA is an affiliated congregation with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. Presently there are over 1100 churches and 3500 credentialed ministers apart of the P.A.O.C. organization. For more information regarding the beliefs of this organization please click here.
